"Mousetrap"

The Derby Dinner Playhouse

By: Angela Ash

"Mousetrap" will be playing at the Derby Dinner Playhouse through November 18th, so get your tickets without delay.  This production is brilliant!

Adapted from one of Agatha Christie's beloved novels, this cat and mouse game, full of murder and intrigue, is not to be missed.  In typical Derby style, the play is wonderfully cast, with Tina Jo Wallce and Cary Wiger as Mollie and Giles Ralston, David Myers as Major Metcalf, Janet Essenpreis as Miss Casewell, JR Stuart as Mr. Paravicini, and John Vessels as Sergeant Trotter.  However, while all of the performers were excellent in their roles, the standout was assuredly Peter Ripple as the eccentric Christopher Wren.

This production generated laughs, suspense, and an overall great night out!  It is easy to see why the "Mousetrap" is one of the longest running plays in history, and the Derby Dinner Playhouse created a spectacular performance.

Don't forget, the Derby Dinner Playhouse is located in Clarksville, Indiana... just over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a theater in the round, and has been in operation since 1974, and is one of the oldest and largest continuously operating theatres in the country! Not only will you receive a top notch production for your ticket price, but a mouth-watering meal, served buffet style, boasting favorites like fried chicken, pasta, and a meat carving station.  And let's not forget the desserts!  Any selection from the diverse menu is a winner, but I am a bit partial to the brownie sundae!

The Children's Theatre will also open October 13th with "Louie".  Check it out online for more information.
