"Irving Berlin's White Christmas" will be playing at the Derby Dinner Playhouse through December 31st. Can you think of any better way to kick-off the holiday season?
This well-beloved musical is set in the time immediately after World War II, and it follows the ups and downs of two GI's who make a hit in the song and dance world. They team up with a sister act to perform at a lodge in Vermont, and while waiting for the snow to fall, they find love and the Christmas spirit.
This has to be one of the most beloved Christmas musicals of all time, in part because it includes wonderful performances of "Sisters", "Blue Skies", "Count Your Blessings Instead Of Sheep", and "White Christmas". Expect to see plenty of energetic dance performances!
This phenomenal production is under the direction of Lee Buckholz, with choreography by Heather Paige Folsom and Musical Direction by Scott Bradley. The cast includes Jillian Prefach, Matthew Brennan, Brittany Carricato Cox, Jake Delaney, Paul Kerr, Elizabeth Loos, and many more of your Derby Dinner favorites!
Ellena Usher completely wins over the crowd in the young role of Susan. With the charisma of a seasoned veteran, her rendition of "Let Me Sing And I'm Happy" completely steals the hearts of anyone within viewing distance.
Now, when it comes to the intricate song and dance routines, Matthew Brennan and Brittany Carricato Cox absolutely enrapture the audience. "I Love A Piano" may just be the best number in the entire performance!
With so many memorable moments and outstanding performances, this musical is truly something you must witness for yourself. And don't forget to bring the entire family!
