The Derby Dinner Playhouse

"9 to 5" will be playing at the Derby Dinner Playhouse through May 19th. Get your tickets early, because this show is sure to sell out!

This offering is witty, funny, and packed to the brim with some of the best song and dance numbers I have ever seen at the Derby Dinner Playhouse.  The story of three over-worked, under-paid, and sexually harassed office workers also has one of the largest casts I have seen on this stage, and the reaction is absolutely electric!

The production is wonderfully cast, with Jillian Prefach, Elizabeth Bailey, and Sarah Ann Koster as the scheming trio. Sometimes it is really difficult to believe that Dolly is not on stage. Elizabeth Bailey was flawless!  The comedy really comes into play with Matthew Bryan Feld and Elizabeth Loos in the roles of the arrogant head of the office, and his right hand supervisor. Remembering Elizabeth Loos from her zany role of Miss Hannigan in "Annie", she never fails to entertain!

The Derby Dinner Playhouse, as usual, provides a life-like set for this wonderful production, so much so that at times I truly believe that the audience feels a part of it themselves.

The Derby Dinner Playhouse is located in Clarksville, Indiana... right over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a theater in the round, and has been in operation since 1974, making it one of the oldest and largest continuously operating theatres in the country!

You will receive a top notch production for your ticket price, along with a mouth-watering meal, served buffet style, boasting favorites like fried chicken, mouth-watering pasta selections, and a meat carving station. Some of the best desserts around are also offered, like the hummingbird cake or the brownie sundae! But I actually did it this time.  I have been fighting against my will to order the peanut butter pie, and my will did not win, and probably never will again.  This was the absolute best peanut butter pie I have ever eaten.  But don't take my word for it!  Your taste buds will thank you!
