Derby Dinner Playhouse will present the classic musical comedy “SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN”, running through May 18, 2014.

Based on the MGM film featuring Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Donald O’Connor, it has been adapted for the stage by Betty Camden and Adolph Green.

SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN takes place during the 1920's in Hollywood... in the wonderful era that is about to give birth to the talking pictures!  Full of fantastic song and dance routines, this musical truly brings back a golden time.

SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN is directed by Lee Buckholz, with choreography by Heather Paige Folsom and musical direction by Scott Bradley. Cast members include Justin Ostergard, Matthew Brennan, Kayla Peabody, Jillian Prefach, J.R. Stuart, Paul Kerr, Elizabeth Loos, Johns Vessels, and many more Derby Dinner Playhouse favorites!

Playing the role of Cosmo Brown, Matthew Brennan is absolutely vibrant!  He completely embodies his character, with every movement illustrating that truly some of the best performers in the country are right on the Derby Dinner stage.

And if the usual brilliance of a production here is not enough, things really go up a notch with this run, because it will actually rain on stage.  That's right, attendees along the edge of the stage are given ponchos as Justin Ostergard, playing Don Lockwood, dances, jumps in puddles, and splashes rain onto excited patrons.

The Derby Dinner Playhouse is located in Clarksville, Indiana... right over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a theater in the round, and has been in operation since 1974, making it one of the oldest and largest continuously operating theatres in the country!

You will receive a top notch production for your ticket price, plus a mouth-watering meal, served buffet style, boasting favorites like fried chicken, mouth-watering pasta selections, and a meat carving station. Some of the best desserts around are also offered, like the peanut butter pie or the brownie sundae!

Be there early for the Footnotes, Derby Dinner Playhouse's very own musical spectacular, singing sneak peaks from upcoming shows, or additional selections connected to the night's main attraction. They are refreshing, delightful, and a great kick off to the evening's festivities!
