Deathtrap

"Deathtrap" will be playing at the Derby Dinner Playhouse through November 10th. Get your tickets early, because this is one of the best theatre performances that I have seen in a good while! And with its twists, turns, and murderous plots, it is just in time for the Halloween season!

This comedy-thriller exposes what a writer on a "dry spell" may actually do to provide the next big play for Broadway. "Deathtrap" wil keep you guessing until the end, providing one big moment after the next.

The production, as always, is wonderfully cast, including Brian Bowman, Tina Jo Wallace, David Myers, J.R. Stuart, and Elizabeth Loos. Loos is absolutely hysterical as the psychic next door... who almost foils the plan on many occasions. I was thoroughly impressed, as usual, with David Myers, who pulled off the role of the writer with murderous intentions as if it has been written for him!

And not to be left out, the Footnotes, the pre-show entertainment, started the night off with a string of beautiful song and dance routines!

The Derby Dinner Playhouse always provides a creative set for their productions, and "Deathtrap" is no exception. The chilling "wall of weapons" in the back of the house is a great touch!

The Derby Dinner Playhouse is located in Clarksville, Indiana... right over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a theater in the round, and has been in operation since 1974, making it one of the oldest and largest continuously operating theatres in the country!

You will receive a top notch production for your ticket price, along with a mouth-watering meal, served buffet style, boasting favorites like fried catfish, mouth-watering pasta selections, and a meat carving station. Some of the best desserts around are also offered, like the peanut butter pie or the brownie sundae!
