This is the 21st consecutive season that Dracula has raged onto the Bingham Theatre stage at the Actors Theatre, and residents of Louisville are extremely lucky, because this is the only production of Dracula that runs anywhere every single year.

Originally by John L. Balderston and Hamilton Deane and adapted from Bram Stoker's novel of the same name, this version of the spine-tingling play has been adapted and directed by William McNulty, and it is packed full with thrilling moments and special effects that often shock the crowd in amazement. The cast includes Emily Bennett, Carter Caldwell, Brylee Deuser, Ryan Didato, Abby Leigh Huffstetler, Howard Kaye, Patterson Larkins, William McNulty, Regan Moro, Grace Palmer, Benjamin Pelteson, Jacob Sabinsky, Nick Vannoy and Sam Wisenden.

Howard Kaye is mesmerizing as Count Dracula, prowling the stage with a fervor that leaves the audience utterly under his spell, waiting for his next pounce, his next snarl or his next poetic line. Emily Bennett as Lucy seems to invite the crowd to follow her along for a ride, as she invokes emotion after emotion, and has so many electrifying encounters with Kaye that you almost forget that this is theater.

Finally, William McNulty effortlessly embodies the role of Van Helsing as if it were created specifically for him, illustrating his deep connection to the character with every word and gesture. McNulty is absolute brilliance at its best!

Remember that Actors Theatre will be running this terrifying tale through October 31st, and it is sure to be a sell-out! Be prepared to start off the Halloween season at the Actors Theatre, and begin a chilling fall tradition!
