The nights are growing longer, and there may even be a slight chill in the evening air. A few leaves begin to rustle across the sidewalk, and decorations sporting pumpkins and black cats are starting to pop up in every store. However, it isn't quite the Halloween season until you have experienced the dark delights of Dracula, now playing through November 2nd at Actors Theatre.

Originally adapted from Bram Stoker's novel of the same name, by John L. Balderston and Hamilton Deane, this chilling version has been adapted and directed by William McNulty, and it is just bursting with exciting moments and an arsenal of special effects that leaves the audience with plenty of knee-jerking reactions. The cast includes Andrea Abello, Calum Bedborough, Brylee Deuser, Ryan Didato, Emily Kleypas, Jerardo Larios, Patterson Larkins, Sharina Martin, Randolph Curtis Rand, Neill Robertson, Jack Schmitt, Suzy Weller, Kevin Craig West and Greg Wood.

Raging across the stage with nothing less than a truly spellbounding effect, Randolph Curtis Rand is utterly bewitching in the role of Count Dracula. And Sharina Martine as Lucy seems to invite the crowd to follow along with her clandestine meetings with the Count, inwardly struggling right along with her as she chooses light over darkness. Yet, the crowd watches in absolute adoration as Greg Wood completely embodies the very essence of Van Helsing, bringing a memorable voice to this beloved character.

Be sure to get your tickets early, because the closer it gets to Halloween, you will find that many performances will sell out! Be prepared for a deliciously dark encounter with a stunning performance, welcoming in the fall season in a way that you're not likely to forget!
