Critics everywhere have praised Angels in America - Part One - Millennium Approaches, which might leave you wondering what Actors Theatre could possibly bring to the stage to compare. Well, I'll give you a little hint. It's called Part Two.

Angels in America - Part Two - Perestroika is currently showing in the Pamela Brown Auditorium, as part of the Brown-Forman Series. Eager audiences can view the ending of this magnificent portrayal of American life in the 1980s through October 14th.

Written by Tony Kushner and directed by Meredith McDonough, expect an intricate backdrop to some of the most poignant human emotions, centered around the AIDS epidemic, politics and the staggering betrayal of human loss. This stunning performance offers a brief glimpse into a past that offers a truth that can still be applied to the challenges and inspirations of the present day.

This remarkable cast includes: Therese Barbato, Richard Gallagher, Mark Junek, Lou Liberatore, Rami Margon, Richard Prioleau, Brian Slaten and Barbara Walsh, all taking on multiple roles with a real ease of interpretation. Sit on the edge of your seat, and expect nothing short of brilliance!

Standout performances include Prioleau's remarkable way to add humor and relatability to such trying times, while Gallagher continues to add a superior political approach. But again, Junek brings to the stage a vulnerability that will leave members of the audience wiping away tears as they root for health and happiness to prevail.

Be sure to get your tickets early, and prepare for a wonderful end to this revealing tale!
