OVER THE RIVER & THROUGH THE WOODS will be playing at the Derby Dinner Playhouse through July 8th, and this clever comedy will leave you doubled over with laughter. If you're ready for a carefree evening out with family or friends, buy your tickets now!

Written by Joe DiPietro, the casting for this hit is spot-on. Expect to see Derby Dinner favorites like Brian Bowman, Cary Wiger, Tina Jo Wallace, J.R. Stuart, Rita Thomas and Katelyn Webb.

As a young man (Bowman) contemplates moving away from his ever-interfering grandparents (Wiger, Wallace, Thomas and Wiger), so they go on a quest to find a reason for him to stay in town. This includes feeding him non-stop around the clock and even trying to find him a love interest (Webb).

I must stress again that this cast is brilliant. Bowman is spectacular as he tries desperately to move across the country to get away from his family, but then finds that maybe it isn't the answer to all of his problems. Wallace is also absolutely hilarious as she does everything within her power to hold onto her grandson. And kudos to the makeup team at Derby Dinner on their spectacular job of aging Wallace for this role by several decades.

The Derby Dinner Playhouse is located in Clarksville, Indiana... right over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a theater in the round, and has been in operation since 1974, making it one of the oldest and largest continuously operating theatres in the country!

You will always receive a top-notch production for your ticket price, along with a mouth-watering meal, served buffet style, boasting favorites like fried fish, mouth-watering pasta selections and a meat-carving station. Some of the best desserts around are also offered, like the Chocolate Brownie Sundae!
