When three women meet after the disasters of a hot yoga class, an unlikely friendship is forged. And when they make a deal with a burgeoning life coach who quickly becomes more of a friend, the adventures are just beginning. When cocktails and learning how to pursue your dreams - at any age - is center stage, you may find that your path leads to places you would've never anticipated!
The cast includes Jillian Prefach, Debbie King-Raque, Melissa Combs and Tina Jo Wallace - the perfect cast for this wonderful start to DDP's 45th season. It's phenomenal to sit in a darkened theater and see a cast work together so briliantly, until you almost forget that you're at a show, and it feels as if you're watching real life, complete with all of its ups, downs and happy hours.
Combs may have stolen quite a few laughs, and Wallace's optimism and quest for happiness give true radiation to her performance. King-Raque offers a relatable yet optimistic look at growing older gracefully, while Prefach illustrates that you're far more than your career.
And be sure not to miss the Footnotes, DDP's special musical hosts and hostesses, who offer pre-show entertainment, full of memorable numbers.
The Derby Dinner Playhouse is located in Clarksville, Indiana... right over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a theater in the round, and has been in operation since 1974, making it one of the oldest and largest continuously operating theatres in the country!
