Tootsie

Michael Dorsey is a talented but difficult actor who can't seem to find a job. Desperate for a role, he comes up with a plan to disguise himself as a woman, Dorothy Michaels, and audition for a role. While initially dismissed, he quickly becomes a star in the role and must maintain the deception for longer and longer. Along the way, he builds relationships, falls in love, and even learns more about himself than he anticipated.

But in short, if you’re ready for a night of creative, on-point humor, then Tootise will not disappoint. The story is both sarcastic and serious at the same time, and features great music, classic wit, and lots of surprising plot twists.

Tootsie features fun numbers such as

  • "What's the Problem Here?"

  • "Who Is She?"

  • "Mad About The Boy"

  • "True Love Will Find A Way"

  • "The Most Important Night of My Life"

  • "Opening Up"

  • "It's Hard To Be a Superstar"

  • "Unstoppable"

  • "Nobody's Side"

  • "Thank Goodness"

Drew Becker is phenomenal in the split role of Michael Dorsey/Dorothy Michaels.

He does an incredible job of mastering the two halves of the role and bringing it to life perfectly on the big stage,

The ability for Drew Becker to not only understand the nuances between the two opposite personalities, but to capture the subtleties of each and make them come alive right before your eyes, is remarkable. He handles the switch from the male and female perspectives with grace, understanding and finesse.

Plus, his chemistry with Ashley Alexandra as Julie Nichols is undeniable. Whether they are in romantic moments or heartfelt conversations, they generate a spark that's hard to ignore. But Alexandra really draws in the crowd with her stunning vocals, which make her performances a true highlight of this show.

However, if you’re looking for the comedy show stealers, Payton Reilly as Sandy, and Jared David Michael Grant as Jeff Slater, are remarkable.
